As we are getting closer to our Beta launch in London, it's time to look back and review our progress in the last couple of months. It has been busy... The hectic startup life is catching up on us: all-nighters, weekends, sandwiches, packaged soup, lots of coffee and Redbull... Not a complaint, just how motivated we are to bring Solocal to life for solo female travellers!
App development and user testing
We've tried to run as many rounds of user testing as possible to fix bugs and improve the user experience, and are now at Version 20! The Beta version will be released with core features: "Meeting" which enables users to browse and create meetings, and "Explore" for discovering places and things to do.
Beta sign up
We have over 600 people already signed up to our Beta, just want to say a big thank you! Our giveaway contest is now closed, and winners will be contacted on 13th Nov. The sign up is still open on our Home page. We will invite everyone who's signed up to our launch party, stay tuned!
Ignite Accelerator Offsite
We'd like to say a big thanks to Ignite Accelerator for inviting us to join their 2-day offsite at Cambridge. Within the short but intensive 2 days, we've had Office and Mentor hours with the Ignite team and investors, who have helped us get new perspectives and stay focused on the journey.
Web Summit's the world's largest tech conference, and we are excited to be selected onto the Alpha Programme. It's the fist time we are exhibiting Solocal to the world, just looking forward to meeting great people and interesting businesses in Lisbon! If you are there, visit us at A611 on 8th Nov.
Follow our Instagram (@solocaltravel) to explore the world with us. Every week, we introduce one travel destination in-depth to our followers. Our Facebook Page publishes our updates, and the latest from our communities. Join our London Meetup Group with almost 1000 members to explore arts and culture, and meet people from all over the world.
We will focus on the Beta Launch. The startup journey is getting more exciting when we are hitting the real world. We hope to get feedback from users and partners to help us to evolve. We are always looking for feedback, advice, mentors, and business partners. Please do get in touch.
